Nationalists and socialists (former communists) tilt Bulgaria in Putin’s orbit

The war in Ukraine changed the world order. Russia was stated as country sponsor of terrorism in resolution adopted by European parliament. European commission set more than 11 packages of sanctions to Russian federation. Russia was excluded from all international organizations. In Ukraine severe bloody war. Almost every day are bombed residential houses, hospitals, kindergartens, schools, critical infrastruction. Civilians killed on the street. Hospital bombed – two children killed one of them newborn! The only Bulgarian MEPs that did not vote for the resolution were from Bulgarian socialist party (BSP). BSP is one of the political parties that will take part in the preliminary elections on 02.04.2023. BSP is the former Bulgarian communist party (BKP) that ruled Bulgaria from 1944 to 1989. BKP has long bloody story of repressions and terror. On 8 September 1944 Bulgaria was occupied by Soviet Red army. https://desebg.com/chestvania/5278-2022-09-05-04-54-38 This was just the beginning of mass terror against Bulgarian civilians performed by the Bulgarian communists. Mass executions, concentration camps, mass deportation. This was in Bulgaria 79 years ago. The same is happening now in Ukraine!

Not only BSP tends to putin. The other main puti nophile party is Vazrajdane. The nationalists from Vazrajdane waved Russian banners on Bulgarian national holiday 3 March! They are anti EU and NATO, against adopting Euro and against Istanbul convention.

The situation in Bulgaria is very hard. Two opposite sides will be on the elections. One is pro Euro Atlantic values, pro EU and NATO. Both support Ukraine and are for Bulgaria to supply Ukraine with weapons. 

On the other side are Bulgarian socialist party BSP  https://bsp.bg/ and the nationalist party Vazrajdane https://vazrazhdane.bg/  .  Both are anti Ukraine and oppose to supplying Ukraine with weapons. Also both parties are against Istanbul Convention https://www.coe.int/en/web/istanbul-convention . Vazrajdane is also anti Bulgaria to adopt Euro. Both political parties are putinist and stay firmly on pro putin"s orbit.

Hristo Grozen won BAFTA for documentary film for film “Navalny”. For the security of the guests of the official ceremony on BAFTA awards Hristo Grozev was not allowed to attend the ceremony.

All this time choking news from Ukraine. One video choked the world. A Ukrainian soldier prisoner of war stood unarmed in face of his assassins. Smoked his cigarette and just said  “Slava Ukraini!”(“Glory to Ukraine!”) before he was shot. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=6637548702939826&set=a.328684693826290  The Security Service of Ukraine has finally confirmed the name of the Ukrainian soldier who was shot by Russians after saying "Glory to Ukraine!" It is a sniper of the 163rd battalion of the 119th separate brigade of the "North" military operation in Chernihiv region, Oleksandr Matsiyevskyi, as previously reported by the "North" military operation.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to Oleksandr Matsiyevskyi

Bakhmut became symbol of Ukrainian resistance. The videoclip of the song “Bakhmut Fortress” by the Ukrainian band Antytila was shot on battlefield.
